Western Oregon Boomerang
Roundup XVII
The 17th Annual Western Oregon Boomerang Roundup (WOBR XVII) will be
held in Salem Oregon on July 31, 2004.
We've had to move to Wallace Marine Park this year because of field maintenance at McKay. This is actually going to work out well. Nice park and good facilities.
Registration starts at 8:30 and we'll run all the normal USBA events as well as GLORP.
Take I-5 down to the Market Street exit in Salem. Go west on Market Street (about 2 miles)
Left on Summer Street (about 3/4 mile) Right on Marion Street When you get on the bridge get in the right lane Take the first exit off the bridge and stay in the right lane That puts you on Wallace Road Follow Wallace Road to Wallace Marine Park (about 1/4 mile) and turn right We'll be in the soccer fields on the left.
Probably a good place to stay, and easy to find, is the Super 8 at the Market St. exit. There's several motels right close to there to pick from.
Registration begins at 8:30, events begin at 9:30.
We will be running the standard USBA events as well as GLORP to finish off the
day. A no-host victory dinner will be held at Pietro's Pizza following the
tournament.
Please contact
Dean Kelly to
confirm the location of the tournament.

Oct. 9 or 10 |
"Emmaus Hurrican Patrol Tourney"
Barnaby's Boomerang Tournament
tourney positively confirmed for oct 9, raindate morning of 10th
trying to kick things off around 2pm sharp saturday. with mta and aussie
round.
then accuracy 10 tosses for 100 points as per new europeean m.o. as featured
at world cup.
come early stay late. pitch tent at farm is best bet. pool is great.
conferring on team9 concept for demos 05 for sponsorhip. to get best
tightest script and only a few throwers crowd into an hour of filming team head to
head.
my idea of simplest event is .... one member from each team steps up. last
one to catch wins mta. gets two points for her team. 2nd gets one point.
third gets zilch.
or what. three teams. three on a team. goes fast, video gets to know
the individuals. three on the same fastcatch circle with eric's
goggles, first to catch five wins. three on aussie round 8 point circle
toss same time, closest to bullseye peg gets her team 2 points. and on. relay is one
round. supercatch is same. some events can go off same time at different
parts of the field.
some taping will be under the lights.
food will be on the field to get everything done. teeshirts have arrived.
endurance segues straight into fast catch.
