Throwers start in a gate on the 20m circle. On the judges signal, the first thrower will run to the 2m circle and make as many legal catches as they can for one minute. A legal throw starts in the 2m circle, and goes at least 20m. The catch may be made outside of the 2m circle, but every throw must be made from inside it.
After their 60 seconds is up, the thrower runs back to the gate and tags off the next thrower. The thrower waiting to be tagged off must be within the gate on the 20m line, but may have no body parts within the 20m circle, and they may not be moving at all before being tagged off.
Each thrower has exactly 60 seconds from the moment of their first throw (running time does not count). This means that after the fourth thrower returns to the gate, any of the other three may return to the center to throw until the total five (5) minutes are up. A throw that is made before the five minutes is up but is caught after the five minute mark is counted. The final thrower does not need to run back to their gate after the five minutes are up.
