Promoting the History, Art, Science, and Sport of Boomerangs

GLORP

tagline: If you drop a catch, you get a letter, and you don’t want to be GLORPed!

This is just like HORSE in basketball, but for boomerangs. Take turns coming up with your own trick catches, and if you make the catch, everyone else needs to as well!

How to Play

Throw a trick catch boomerang and catch it however you want, and everyone else has to follow. If you drop it, you get a letter. If you get all five letters, you’re out. The winner is the last thrower who doesn’t have a GLORP!

The first thrower, or the Dominator, will make any trick catch, and all other throwers will attempt the catch. If the Dominator makes their catch, they will continue in that role, but if they drop it, the role of Dominator moves down an assigned order. In tournaments, the order is by experience, with novice throwers in the front and veterans in the back.

Trick Catch Example

No two throws can be the same in a row. However, a thrower could perform an identical catch they have already thrown as long as it is not back to back.
